Lamp Revamp
My lovely and favourite neighbour was throwing out this lamp and I just knew it had potential so I nicked it (with her blessings, of course):
A quick look around Pinterest led me to this Martha Stewart rope lamp tutorial so I went to the local hardware store and bought some PVC glue and thick jute twine.
Then I found the perfect lamp shade for £2 at Oasis, my favourite charity shop in Rothesay.
It only took maybe 90 minutes (I didn't even use a brush with the glue, I just squeezed it on as I went along, it worked better and was easier that way) to convert the lamp to this:
Have you revamped anything around your house?

The lamp looks great! Did you make that doily? - it's pretty!
ReplyDeleteI've been so busy! Thank you for commenting on so many posts. :) That doily was from my grandmother -- she got me a bunch of cool crocheted stuff like that when she found out i crocheted. I don't think she made it, but she liked all things Victorian, so she had a lot of them around her house.
